Niigata’s first presence in the USA was at IMTS 1980. In 1986 Niigata incorporated with G&W Machine in Windsor, CT, under the name of Niigata/G&W, Inc. In 1994 Niigata moved its corporate headquarters to the Chicago area and changed the name to Niigata Machinery USA Co., Inc.
